In the small town of Gallup, Texas, a series of mysterious and gruesome deaths occur, baffling local authorities. Dr. Sheila Casper, a zoologist, suspects that bats are responsible for the attacks. She teams up with Lieutenant Jimmy Sands to uncover the truth, leading them to discover a swarm of genetically mutated bats with an insatiable appetite for human flesh. They must find a way to stop the deadly creatures before they wipe out the entire town.
