In the 23rd century, a corrupt former cop, Jake Cardigan, is framed for a murder he didn't commit and is given a virtual reality "exile" as punishment. Upon his release, he's tasked by the TekWar Corporation to hunt down rogue agents and illegal technology. Teaming up with a former partner and a brilliant computer scientist, Cardigan uncovers a conspiracy that threatens the very fabric of society and his own past.
