On a distant Federation outpost, a military raid to rescue a captured crew of troopers goes awry. A young Lieutenant and his team must fight their way through an insectoid swarm to reach the station and fight the bugs. Meanwhile, a ship called the 'Icarus' is drifting in space and is found by the bugs.
