Laura Biel, a young woman in Warsaw, is celebrating her 29th birthday. She is in a relationship with a man named Massimo, who is much older and the head of a powerful Sicilian mafia family. Massimo is obsessed with Laura and kidnaps her, giving her 365 days to fall in love with him. During this time, Massimo's possessiveness and controlling nature are constantly on display.
