Ten years after the events of The Phantom Menace, the Republic is on the brink of civil war. A charismatic senator, Padmé Amidala, becomes the target of a mysterious assassin. Anakin Skywalker, now a Jedi apprentice, is tasked with protecting her, leading him on a path toward his destiny. Meanwhile, the Jedi Council investigates the assassination attempt, uncovering a secret clone army and the beginnings of a Separatist movement orchestrated by a shadowy figure.
