The film is about the eight-year-old Dutch girl Sam who grew up in Africa and returns to the Netherlands. Sam finds the rules in the Netherlands strange and she comes into contact with her dark boy next door. He reminds her of her boyfriend Malik from Africa. However, that boy's name is Johan and he wants nothing to do with Sam and Africa and an argument is the result. Then they try to make amends with each other. In Africa, tourists or whites are often called Mzungu. It means 'white person' .
