Mud

Two young boys, Ellis and his friend Neckbone, discover a fugitive named Mud hiding on an island in the Mississippi River. Mud claims he is on the run and needs their help to reunite with his lost love, Juniper. As the boys try to help Mud, they become entangled in his complicated and often dangerous past, navigating themes of love, betrayal, and the harsh realities of life in the rural South.
