Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne are two well-meaning but extremely dim-witted best friends who embark on a cross-country road trip to return a briefcase full of money to its owner. Unbeknownst to them, the briefcase was left behind by a group of dangerous criminals, and their journey quickly turns into a chaotic adventure filled with mistaken identities, bumbling mishaps, and attempts to evade both the law and the mob.
