A Christian teenager, Mary Cummings, faces excommunication from her church after becoming pregnant by her "anti-gay" boyfriend. Determined to save her soul and her relationship, she pretends to be a lesbian to gain access to a gay conversion camp, hoping to be "cured" of her pregnancy and condition. She is joined in her quest by her disabled best friend, Hilary Faye, who has her own complicated agenda.
