A young iguanodon named Aladar, separated from his family and raised by lemurs, must lead his new troop to a nesting ground amidst a devastating meteor shower. Facing prejudice from the herd leader Bruton and the harsh realities of a changing prehistoric world, Aladar's unique approach to survival and compassion challenges the established order. He befriends a wise elder lemur, Zini, and a kindly lemur named Plio, who help him navigate the dangers and find his place in the world.
