Plot Summary

Ten years after escaping custody, Dr. Hannibal Lecter is living in Florence, Italy, under an assumed identity as a curator. However, his past crimes have caught the attention of the Florentine police and, more importantly, the vengeful millionaire Mason Verger, one of Lecter's former patients. Verger hires Inspector Pazzi to hunt Lecter down, while FBI agent Clarice Starling, still haunted by her past encounters with the cannibalistic psychiatrist, is also drawn back into the investigation.
