Armageddon

When an enormous asteroid on a collision course with Earth is detected, a team of deep-core drillers is recruited by NASA to be sent to the asteroid to destroy it. They must land on the asteroid, drill to its core, and detonate a nuclear bomb before it's too late.

Armageddon was a commercial success, grossing over $553 million worldwide, but received largely negative reviews from critics. While praised for its special effects and entertainment value, it was widely criticized for its plot, scientific inaccuracies, and over-the-top action sequences.
