Bangkang Papel follows Maymay, Isay, and Toto, three orphaned children lovingly raised by Aling Linda in a quiet riverside village. When she falls gravely ill, they cling to her tale of a river that carries prayers to a distant palace. Folding paper boats with heartfelt wishes, they release them into the current, holding onto faith, love, and fragile hope.
