Story Line
The Lower Lusatian village of Jamlitz/Jemjelnica was once a thriving artists’ colony. Later, the Nazis built a concentration camp there, and from 1945 the site served as a Soviet special camp. Now Friederike, the great-granddaughter of an artist, returns, hoping to use her family’s creative legacy to revive the village and heal the wounds of collective memory.
