Deaw’s parents got separated, like many of his friends, who also have many problems at school, so they finally all got kicked out. Once out of school, they all want to travel by hitchhiking; one time they almost get arrested because the truck they are riding in is carrying some illegal merchandise. When they get back home, they keep on encouraging Deaw to study hard until finally he passed the entrance exam. Deaw keeps on writing his diary every time when he’s thinking about his father who he has not seen for two years.
