Richie Lanz, a down-on-his-luck music manager, takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan. When they get stranded in Kabul after a weapons deal goes wrong, Richie discovers a young girl with an extraordinary singing voice who dreams of competing on "Afghan Star," the local version of "American Idol."
