Three down-on-their-luck friends, facing dire financial straits, decide to fake their own deaths to collect on their life insurance policies. Their elaborate scheme quickly unravels, however, when a determined insurance investigator begins to poke holes in their seemingly watertight plan. The friends must then scramble to maintain their charade while avoiding exposure and the potential consequences of their fraudulent actions.
