The Innocents

In 1945 Poland, a young Benedictine novitiate named Mathilde discovers a group of French Jewish survivors hidden in her convent. These women have been violated by Soviet soldiers, and some are pregnant. Mathilde must decide whether to help them maintain their vows and faith in the face of immense trauma and violence, even as her own faith is tested.
