The Way

Tom Avery, an American doctor, is informed that his estranged son, Daniel, has died while walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route in France. Arriving in St. Jean Pied de Port, Tom decides to retrieve his son's body, but instead chooses to walk the Camino himself, carrying Daniel's ashes. Along the way, he encounters three other pilgrims from different countries, each with their own reasons for undertaking the journey, and together they form an unlikely bond.
