After a space journey goes awry, a father and son crash-land on a dangerous, abandoned Earth, now overrun by evolving wildlife and unnatural phenomena. The estranged father, Cypher Raige, is a stern general who blames his son, Kitai, for the death of his mother and struggles to connect with him. To survive and get help, Kitai must overcome his fears and prove his mettle in a world that actively seeks to kill him, relying on his father's distant guidance.

The Last Airbender was widely panned by critics and audiences alike for its convoluted plot, wooden acting, poor pacing, and disrespectful adaptation of the source material. Despite its commercial success, it is frequently cited as one of the worst films ever made.
