A young alien named Gratuity 'Grat' Tucci is sent to Earth on a mission to prepare the planet for alien colonization. However, he quickly falls in love with Earth culture, particularly its reality television. When his superiors discover his deviation from the plan, they dispatch a ruthless enforcer to bring him back, forcing Grat to go on the run.
