In ancient China, the Qin state is at war with the other six warring states. A nameless warrior, Nameless, claims to have defeated three of the enemy's greatest assassins: Sky, Broken Sword, and Flying Snow. The King of Qin, who fears for his life and has survived numerous assassination attempts, grants Nameless an audience. As Nameless recounts his tales of victory, the King, and an advisor, begin to suspect that the truth of the events may be far more complex than Nameless initially presents.
