Plot Summary

Following the events of Split and Unbreakable, David Dunn is in pursuit of Kevin Wendell Crumb and his multiple personalities, known as The Beast. They are brought together in a psychiatric facility where Dr. Ellie Staple studies them, attempting to prove that people with superpowers are just delusions. As the facility's methods test their limits, Dunn and Crumb must confront each other and the looming threat of a new shadowy organization.

Critical Reception

Glass received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for the performances of McAvoy and Willis, and the ambitious narrative scope. However, many critics found the plot convoluted and the conclusion disappointing, failing to live up to the potential established by its predecessors.

What Reviewers Say

  • A visually stylish but narratively muddled conclusion to Shyamalan's trilogy.

  • The film is weighed down by its own convoluted mythology and a disappointing lack of payoff.

  • McAvoy and Willis deliver strong performances, but they aren't enough to salvage the film's weak script.

Google audience: Google users generally found the film to be an interesting, albeit flawed, conclusion to the trilogy, appreciating the performances and the attempt to tie together the previous films. Some viewers felt the plot became too complicated and the ending was anticlimactic.

Fun Fact

M. Night Shyamalan initially conceived the idea for 'Glass' to be a direct sequel to 'Unbreakable,' but it took nearly two decades and the success of 'Split' to bring the full trilogy to fruition.
