In the digital city of Textopolis, all emojis live with the hope of being selected by their smartphone user. Each emoji has only one facial expression, except for Gene, an emoji born without a filter, who is bursting with multiple expressions. Determined to become a 'normal' emoji, Gene embarks on an adventure through the various apps on a smartphone, accompanied by his friends Hi-5 and the codebreaker emoji Jailbreak. Their journey is to find the loophole that can fix Gene, but they face unexpected challenges and discover the true meaning of individuality.
