Four very different teenagers attending a summer camp at the "Rim of the World" find their bonds tested when a mysterious meteor shower turns out to be alien spacecraft intent on invading Earth. They are the only ones who discover the aliens' plot and must overcome their personal differences and fears to save the world. Armed with limited knowledge and courage, they embark on a dangerous cross-country journey to deliver a vital piece of information.
