Deerskin

Georges, a lonely man, becomes obsessed with a vintage deerskin jacket. He purchases it and decides to shed all his other possessions to live solely with the jacket, believing it will transform him into a filmmaker. His increasingly bizarre behavior leads him down a dark and often humorous path of self-destruction and unintended consequences. He forms an unlikely bond with Denise, a waitress who becomes fascinated by his project and eventually his accomplice.
