In 1873 Arizona Territory, a mysterious amnesiac man (Daniel Craig) with a strange metal device strapped to his wrist arrives in the town of Absolution. He soon finds himself at odds with the ruthless town boss (Harrison Ford), but when aliens attack, he becomes the only hope for survival. The townspeople, including a doctor (Sam Rockwell) and a saloon owner (Olivia Wilde), must band together with the stranger to fight the extraterrestrial invaders.
