A new student at Padua High School has to orchestrate a way for his shy new girlfriend to date the rebellious bad boy, Patrick Verona, because he is not allowed to date until her older sister Kat does. The catch is that Kat is a misanthropic senior who plans to attend college and wants nothing to do with boys. However, Cameron gets Michael to help him pay the belligerent Joey to take Kat out, but it all goes wrong when Joey doesn't know how to treat her and Kat starts to fall for Patrick, and Cameron starts to fall for Bianca.
