The amateur singer, Magdalo, plucks up the courage to leave her small village in search of a well-paying job and has a chance encounter with the idealist classical musician, Fodas. Bent on taking back the familial plots from a money-grubbing loan-shark, Magdalo lands a job as a resident singer at a trendy nightclub, whereas, Fodas is having a hard time keeping himself afloat.
