The Lorax

In the futuristic, artificial town of Thneedville, where nature is non-existent and all plants are manufactured, a young boy named Ted embarks on a quest to find a real tree. To do this, he must visit the Once-ler, a mysterious and reclusive old man who lives outside the town's protective dome. The Once-ler recounts the story of how he destroyed the Truffula Trees and the whimsical creatures that inhabited them, including the Lorax, a grumpy but well-meaning guardian of the forest, and his efforts to protect his home from industrialization.
