Kira and her child were abandoned by her husband – a banal story in General, tragic for our heroine in particular. But, as they say, time heals everything: years pass, the bitterness of betrayal ceases to disturb the soul, life is gradually filled with small joys. A new admirer Vadim, an intelligent and decent man, offers a woman a hand and heart. Even Kira's former mother-in-law favors the man and blesses the ex-daughter-in-law for a new marriage. Suddenly, the prodigal husband Alexey appears on the threshold of Kira's apartment after a six-year separation. Literally on his knees, he begs his wife to take him back. The daughter, who has not stopped loving her father, also asks her mother to forgive him. Kira's heart is torn apart, she can't make a decision.
