Following the events of Split, David Dunn pursues Kevin Wendell Crumb, also known as The Beast, in a series of escalating encounters. Dunn is soon captured and institutionalized alongside other patients with delusions of superpowers. Within the psychiatric facility, they are treated by Dr. Ellie Staple, who claims their abilities are all the result of imagination. However, as threats loom and the truth about their unique conditions is revealed, the trio must confront their own limitations and the forces seeking to suppress their extraordinary existence.
