First chosen to be heroes, then cast aside for being too good, Mark Renton returns to the only place he can call home. He is back to Scotland, to his childhood friends, Sick Boy, Spud, and Begbie. But time and the ravages of addiction have taken their toll. Renton must confront the ghosts of his past, not only for himself but to save his friends from themselves.
