In the year 2004, Earth is facing destruction as monsters known as "Xiliens" begin to appear across the globe, destroying cities. Humanity's last hope lies with the legendary Godzilla, who was sealed away decades ago. A group of scientists and soldiers must find a way to awaken Godzilla and fight against the Xiliens and their own planet-destroying monster, Monster X, to save the planet.
