Ted Brooks, a successful Miami dentist, inherits a team of eight sled dogs in Alaska from his estranged grandmother. Initially planning to sell them, he travels north and is surprised to discover his new canine companions are a motley crew of mischievous but lovable huskies. He soon finds himself reluctantly drawn into the world of sled dog racing and the unique Alaskan lifestyle, forming an unexpected bond with his dogs and the community.
