Hoping for a future career in Vilnius, Adamonis decided to give his benefactor one of the museum’s valuable exhibits. But new people came to the leadership of the district, demanding people who did not tolerate showing off or flattery, and Adamonis’s ambitious dreams were never destined to come true.
