Kate McCann is an English citizen whose daughter, Madeleine, was abducted in Praia da Luz, Portugal on Thursday, 3 May 2007. The case caught the attention of the British public and became a huge media story, and to this day remains a notoriously unsolved case despite widespread attention and immense investigative resources. She has been married to her husband, Gerry, since 1998, with whom she has three children.
