Biography

Imaizumi Yui was known as the Songstress of Keyakizaka46, drawing people in with her well-noted fanservice and energizing smile. She presented herself as a cheerful, positive, and at times overconfident person (which lead to hilarious moments) in shows and radio, but the truth was that she was also very ambitious and professional due to her experience treading the entertainment world prior to joining the group. She took a hiatus in 2017 due to an unspecified illness, but decided to graduate just months after returning. After graduation, Yui signed with Avex and began work as an actress and model. She also regularly held fan events and even sang for fans. Recently, Yui announced her marriage to YouTuber Watanabe Mahoto and revealed that she is pregnant. In June 2021, it was announced that she have given birth and she also officially part ways with Avex Asunaro on June 30, 2021.
