Plot Summary

In 17th century France, the valiant Chevalier de Lagardère is tasked by his dying friend, the Duke of Nevers, to protect his infant daughter, Aurore. Lagardère must also avenge the Duke's murder at the hands of the treacherous Count Gonzague and thwart Gonzague's attempts to seize the Duke's fortune and title. Disguised as a clumsy buffoon, Lagardère infiltrates Gonzague's household to keep a watchful eye on Aurore and await the opportune moment for revenge.
