Meg Murry is a typical middle schooler struggling with homework, bullying, and the disappearance of her father, a brilliant scientist. Her life takes an extraordinary turn when she, her brother Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin O'Keefe are transported across the universe to rescue Mr. Murry from an evil force known as the Darkness.
