Plot Summary

This miniseries reimagines the origins of Peter Pan, focusing on the adult James Hook and his complex relationship with J.M. Barrie. The narrative delves into themes of loss, imagination, and the blurring lines between reality and fantasy.

Critical Reception

Neverland received mixed to positive reviews, with many critics praising its imaginative premise and strong performances, particularly from Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook and Bob Hoskins as Mr. Smee. However, some found the pacing uneven and the narrative's deviations from the traditional Peter Pan story to be unconventional. Despite this, it was generally appreciated for its unique take on the beloved characters and its visual style.
