In the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, a young orphan named Anya discovers she may be Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna, the granddaughter of the Dowager Empress Marie. Haunted by the loss of her family, Anya, with the help of two con men, attempts to reach Paris to claim her birthright and escape the clutches of the vengeful Bolshevik Rasputin and his sidekick, Bartok the bat.
