Original Sin

In late 19th-century Cuba, a wealthy coffee merchant, Luis Vargas, arranges to import a mail-order bride, Julia Russell, from America. Upon her arrival, Luis discovers that Julia is not the woman he was expecting; she is far more beautiful and cunning than he imagined. As their passionate and tumultuous relationship unfolds, Luis finds himself increasingly entangled in a web of deception, suspicion, and betrayal orchestrated by his new wife.
