Izumiko Suzuhara is a shy, sheltered high school girl who has spent her life at Tamakura Shrine, cared for by her grandfather and acting as a vessel for a mountain god. On her 16th birthday, she learns that she must go to high school in Tokyo. However, upon arriving, she discovers she has a strange connection to the digital world and a protective, yet troublesome, guardian named Miyuki. As she navigates the complexities of teenage life and her own supernatural abilities, Izumiko must also confront the ancient prophecies tied to her lineage.
