A mecha enthusiast programmer is reincarnated into a fantasy world as Ernesti 'Eru' Echivalier, the youngest son of a noble family. He retains his memories and passion for robots, and soon discovers that his new world also features giant humanoid robots called Silhouette Gears. Eru joins the Silhouette Knight Lancer academy to pilot these machines, aiming to protect his kingdom from its demonic enemies and to pursue his dream of piloting the ultimate robot.
