On a barren planet called the Mud Whale, a large portion of the population is born with special powers called 'thymia' but are cursed with short lifespans. Lykos, a young boy with a strong connection to the whales, discovers a mysterious girl named Chakuro who is from the outside world. As their worlds collide, Lykos must navigate the complex politics and dwindling resources of his people while uncovering the secrets of Chakuro's past and the true nature of their planet.
