Franois, an overzealous and somewhat inept amateur detective, believes he has stumbled upon a major criminal conspiracy. Convinced that the local pastry chef is involved in a smuggling ring, he enlists the help of his skeptical best friend, Clovis, to uncover the truth. Their amateur investigation leads them through a series of comical mishaps and misunderstandings in their small town.
