A young Tibetan monk, Lobsang, lives in a monastery in the Amdo region of Tibet. When his grandfather falls ill, Lobsang must leave the monastery and travel to the city to earn money for his medical treatment. He faces the challenges of a world vastly different from his monastic life, encountering temptations and hardships.
