Saving Silverman

Three lifelong best friends, Wayne, Darren, and J.D., are inseparably close. When Wayne falls head-over-heels for the new girl in town, Pam, his friends believe she's not right for him and will ruin their dynamic. To get rid of her, they concoct a series of increasingly elaborate and ridiculous schemes, escalating into outright sabotage and even faking Wayne's death, all to 'save' their friend from what they perceive as a terrible mistake.
