Princess Fiona's quest to break a curse that turns her into an ogre by night leads her to seek the help of the dragon-guarding ogre, Shrek. Shrek and his talking donkey companion embark on a journey to rescue Princess Fiona from a dragon and return her to Lord Farquaad to get his swamp back.
